The Quinta Studio set brings colored equipment for the crew compartments printed by 3D technology on decal paper. The instruments, the displays, the side panels and the details of the seats of both crew members have spatial depth and factory coloring, so laborious painting falls away. It is not a helicopter kit but a refining accessory for a plastic model of the Mi-35M attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. The set is designed for the Zvezda kit.
The Mil Mi-35M is a modernized export version of the attack and transport helicopter derived from the Mi-24. It combines heavy armament with the ability to carry a squad, and it has modernized avionics. The glazed cockpits of the pilot and the gunner leave the well worked interior clearly in view.
The elements have no adhesive layer; they are printed on a carrier of decal paper. Go over the surfaces of the compartments with gloss varnish (Future/Klear, Tamiya X-22), soak the cut-out part in lukewarm water for fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. On broken-up shapes a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as they would attack the printed resin. The interior needs no further painting.
This is a detail set, not a helicopter model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
