Responsibility details are not available.
Quinta Studio offers a complete color interior of the cockpit of the single-seat jet fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. The set is printed by 3D printing on decal paper: it has real relief, it is painted in production and it is applied with water like a decal. Water is enough to apply it; do not use a softener, as it would attack the printed resin. It is not a model nor a kit, but an accessory for a plastic kit.
The MiG-15bis is the improved version of the Soviet single-engine jet fighter aircraft with a swept wing from the turn of the 1940s and 1950s. The cockpit is comparatively small, but thanks to the high-set canopy practically the whole instrument panel and the upper part of the side walls are visible in it.
A 3D decal and a photo-etched set do not compete with each other, but they have a clear order. First glue the structural photo-etched parts that change the shape onto the model – frames, bulkheads, levers – and let them dry thoroughly. Only then does the relief decal come onto the surfaces. The opposite order is a trap: cyanoacrylate glue under a photo-etched part wicks and fogs or attacks a print already laid. Photo-etched seat belts, on the contrary, should go on at the very end, over the finished decal, and should be glued only at points. Combining the two makes sense mainly where the cockpit is open and one looks into it from above.
It is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
