The MiG-25 PD single-sided self-adhesive mask Art Scale 1:48 is a set of precisely pre-cut masks in kabuki tape from the Czech manufacturer Art Scale. The film is already pre-cut, so the individual parts simply peel off and go on. It contains neither a model nor paint: it serves for fast, clean masking of the cockpit glazing and, as a rule, of the wheels as well when spraying. The single-sided version masks the outside of the glazing. The masks are cut for the ICM kit.

The real subject

The Mikoyan MiG-25 was a Soviet twin-engine high-altitude interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft capable of high speeds and great altitudes. The PD version received an updated radar and revised engines for the interceptor role. The framed canopy is molded separately and painting it crisply noticeably lifts the impression the finished model makes.

Use

• Peel off the individual numbered, pre-cut masks and transfer them to clean, degreased glazing.
• The mask follows the frames exactly, so it is enough to spray over it with the cockpit frame color.
• The single-sided version covers the outer surfaces; we recommend painting the cockpit interior before closing the canopy.
• We recommend a sharp modeling knife, tweezers, and applying the paint in thin coats.
