Eduard SPACE A6M2 Zero 1:48 is a colored 3D decal set for the interior, supplemented with steel photo-etched belts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the SPACE range by Eduard combines colored 3D decals with steel photo-etched parts for a quick and striking detailing of the cockpit of the Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero fighter. The instrument panel and the side consoles are done as three-dimensionally printed, fully pre-colored 3D decals on a film; the seat belts are of photo-etched steel with a colored print. The interior thus gains depth and faithful coloring with no hand painting.
The 3D decals are not applied dry: with a damp sponge and a drop of dish soap only the backing paper is moistened, the element is lifted off with tweezers and seated on the plastic parts of the cockpit with PVA glue (white glue); the manufacturer does not recommend super glue. A decal softener would damage the printed layer. The flexible film seats even on rounded surfaces. The steel belts are folded and glued on with super glue. The set is intended for a model of the A6M2 Zero in 1:48 scale.
Degrease the surfaces before applying and line everything up dry. The instruments can be picked out with a drop of gloss varnish for the impression of glass faces. Work carefully with the photo-etched belts and shape them with tweezers.
This is a detail set, not an airplane model. The kit is not part of the package.
