1:48 Mk.7 Ejection seat seat belts is a harness for the Mk.7 ejection seat in 1:48 scale, meant for the cockpit of American carrier jets.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set offers the straps of the Mk.7 ejection seat worked out in 1:48 scale. It is a typical case of an accessory that costs little but which anyone who looks closely into the cockpit will notice on a finished model.
The Mk.7 from Martin-Baker was used in a whole generation of carrier jets. Phantoms, Skyhawks, Intruders, Corsairs II and Crusaders all flew with it, that is, the machines that bore the weight of the fighting in the 1960s and 1970s. On them the seat appears in several forms according to the particular type, but the layout of the harness stays recognizable: shoulder straps routed over the seat back, a lap belt and leg restraints in the lower part of the cushion.
In 1:48 scale the whole seat is smaller than a fingernail, so preparation decides. Paint the seat and let it dry properly, so that the surface does not take a print at the next touch. Fit the harness one section at a time and allow yourself a pause between steps, so that the previous piece does not move. If the model is a two-seater, count on the harness belonging at both stations, and plan the work on both seats at once. Put the seat into the fuselage only when it is completely finished.
