A masking sheet for the fighter-bomber Mosquito in 1:48 scale. It handles the glazing from the outer side, adds two sets of insignia masks and decals.

Wood gave this British twin the reputation of being the fastest aircraft that could be built in a furniture workshop. The combat version FB Mk.VI traded the glazed nose of the bomber form for a solid nose with gun barrels and received a flat armored windscreen, so its cockpit looks different from that of the reconnaissance and bomber machines. It is this version that is associated with precise strikes from low level against individual buildings, where what counted was that the crew arrived low, fast and without warning. Besides bombs the version could carry unguided rockets under the wing, so it was at the same time an unpleasant opponent for ships and trains.
This item covers the masking of the glazing from the outside only, and that has a direct consequence for the sequence of the build. The inner face of the frames stays in the color of the transparent part, so looking into the cockpit, light plastic shows through the glass. The answer is easy, it just has to be thought of in advance: go over the frames on the inside with a fine brush in the interior shade before the part is glued to the fuselage, or cut the inner shapes out of ordinary masking tape using the outer ones as a template. The second route takes a quarter of an hour and rewards you by making the frame look like a full-fledged piece of structure from outside as well as from inside.
