A decal sheet in 1:48 scale from the maker OWL. The designation Nachtschlacht, meaning night ground attack, refers to the night attack flying units, whose machines tended to be converted older types. The package contains only a printed sheet — no kit and no plastic or resin parts.
The sheet carries particular markings onto a finished model. The addition W. Nr. 001 in the name may denote the works number of a particular machine as well as the sequence number of the sheet in a range. The particular machines, the number of variants and the extent of the technical lettering are described by the enclosed diagram, which you should go by while building.
A decal does not come free of the backing paper in the water but only a moment after it is taken out. Dip it in lukewarm water for roughly ten to twenty seconds, then lift it out together with the paper and let it lie on a paper towel until it will slide easily. Long soaking washes the adhesive out from under the film and the decal then will not hold on the model — such a one can be saved by nothing but decal glue. Pulling it too soon, conversely, tears the carrier film. Never move a decal with your fingers but with a damp soft brush, so that the film does not crease and stays clean.
Decals are an accessory for building a model. The kit, paints, clear coats and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
