Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American jet fighter North American F-86 Sabre in 1:48. The real subject is the late day fighter version F-86F-40 with extended wings and a slat on the leading edge. The model captures the iconic machine with the swept wing, one of the best known aircraft of the early jet era.
The F-86 Sabre was the first American production fighter with a swept wing and became a legend of the air battles over Korea, where it met the MiG-15. The F-86F version was among the highest performing day fighter forms, and the -40 subvariant brought changes to the wing that improved both agility and behavior on landing. The Sabre served in many air forces of the world and is among the most widespread fighters of its time.
Careful alignment of the fuselage and the leading edges is recommended, and the cockpit glazing should be masked. Glue the plastic with modeling cement for polystyrene, fill sparingly and sand smooth. A base primer and an airbrushed finish suit it; many Sabre schemes were in bare metal, where a metallic finish comes into its own.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
