The real subject

After the Second World War the North American T-28 Trojan replaced the legendary T-6 Texan as the standard trainer. The naval T-28B was powered by a powerful Wright radial engine, the T-28C added an arrestor hook for carrier training, and the armed T-28D earned its spurs in counter-insurgency service from Vietnam to Africa. With its massive nose and long glazing, the Trojan is one of the most rewarding subjects among trainers.

Use

• Wash and degrease the surfaces before masking.
• Transfer the masks with tweezers; on long frames work from one end and smooth the mask down as you go.
• Spray thin coats so that no steps build up at the edges of the masks.
• Peel the masks off slowly at a sharp angle once the paint has dried.
