A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for the T-6 Texan II trainer aircraft, carried in Canadian service as the CT-156 Harvard II. The second part of the series.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of decals in 1:48 scale for a model of the trainer aircraft carried as the T-6 Texan II; in Canadian service the same machine bears the designation CT-156 Harvard II. The designation Part 2 says that it is the second part of a series of sheets for the same type, so the contents follow on from the first part and do not overlap with it. Which particular machines, national insignia and lettering the sheet carries is given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed.
The designation of the subject in the name is not in order: it joins the naming of the older piston T-6G trainer aircraft with the name Texan II, which belongs to a later trainer machine. These are two different types and from the name it cannot be reliably determined which of them the sheet belongs to. What decides is the product code CAD48081, and the extent of the sheet is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before you soak the sheet, verify in the instructions whether it is not an adhesive form. An adhesive film that has been soaked is irrecoverably destroyed, whereas a decal you have forgotten to soak can be returned to the water. With an ordinary waterslide sheet, cut the element out as close as possible, dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it begins to move on the backing paper. Work on gloss varnish, otherwise a silvery veil will appear under the film of the decal. Slide the element into place, soak the water away with a cloth from the center toward the edges and draw it into the pressings with a softener. At the end, coat the finished markings with a protective varnish.
A decal sheet is supplied. The kit, paints, varnishes and softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
