Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for a plastic model of the American Grumman OV-1 Mohawk observation and reconnaissance aircraft. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The Grumman OV-1 Mohawk is an American twin-engine turboprop observation and reconnaissance aircraft serving with the ground forces. It was marked by an extensively glazed cockpit with an excellent view downward and by a triple vertical tail. It was used for tactical reconnaissance and battlefield observation, among other things with radar and infrared sensors. The large amount of cockpit glazing makes masking it a more demanding job.
Degrease the extensive cockpit glazing thoroughly. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them patiently on the individual fields, working systematically frame by frame. Fine-tune the corners and transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
