The set of glazing masks OV-10A Bronco Marines 1:48 for the inner and the outer side from Dead Design. Thanks to it the frame of the cabin can be sprayed from both sides, so it looks right even when seen into the interior. Target kit: ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
The double-sided version of the masking set. Besides the parts for the outer side of the glazing it also contains parts shaped to the inner outline of the frame, so the cabin can be sprayed from the outside in the color of the airframe and from the inside in the shade of the interior. The set is intended for the ICM kit.
The basic set deals only with the outer side. That is enough when the cabin is closed and the model is looked at from the outside. On the Bronco, however, the glazing is so extensive that the frames are visible through the cabin from the other side as well, and an unsprayed inner frame gives itself away as a transparent strip across the whole cabin. The difference is noticed even by a viewer who knows nothing about models, because a real aircraft does not have transparent frames. The second set of parts is what the greater extent of the double-sided version consists of.
The OV-10 Bronco came into being as an aircraft for observation, forward air control and light attack. The crew sits in tandem under long glazing, which continues into the side doors of the cabin as well. The view was a fundamental requirement on this type and modelers have to come to terms with that: on a model the cabin is large, transparent and can be seen into from all sides.
