Eduard 1:48 P-26A/C Peashooter is a photo-etched detail set for sharpening models of the American prewar fighter Boeing P-26. It is not a model but a metal accessory for a built-up kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings fine photo-etched metal parts for sharpening plastic models of the fighter Boeing P-26 Peashooter in the A and C versions in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of an airplane – it is an accessory meant to be built into a base kit already under construction. The photo-etched parts sharpen above all the open cockpit and the interior, where the detail shows especially well.
The Boeing P-26 Peashooter was an American single-seat fighter of the first half of the 1930s. It was the first all-metal monoplane in the service of the US Army Air Corps, yet it still kept features of its day such as an open cockpit, fixed landing gear and wing bracing. It made the bridge between the age of biplanes and that of modern fighters.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend them in a bending tool and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy. On an open cockpit the details stand out especially well once painted and given a fine wash.
This is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
