Eduard masks P-38 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for the model of the American twin-engined P-38 Lightning fighter. It gives sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for the plastic model of the American twin-engined Lockheed P-38 Lightning fighter. It is neither a kit nor a model of its own but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning is an American twin-engined fighter of the Second World War with an unmistakable twin-boom layout and a central nacelle for the pilot. It stood out for its range, its speed and its heavy concentrated armament in the nose. It was used as a fighter, an escort, a reconnaissance and an attack aircraft, above all in the Pacific.
Degrease the glazing of the central cockpit and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and of the sliding section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels of the tricycle landing gear separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
