A set of detailed resin engines, Eduard Big Sin P-38F Lightning in 1:48 scale, for a faithful rendering of the fighter's powerplants.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft kit but a pack of Big Sin accessories from Eduard that brings the separately sold resin sets for a detailed rendering of the engines of the twin-engined P-38F Lightning fighter in 1:48 scale together into one box. The castings offer considerably finer detail than the plastic parts from the base kit.
The box is aimed at the complete powerplants, the left and the right engine including the related parts. The material is cast resin, possibly supplemented by 3D printing; the exact extent follows the current make-up of the Big Sin range.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engined fighter with its characteristic twin-boom layout. The P-38F version was among the early machines committed to combat at the start of the US involvement in the Second World War. Power came from Allison V12 engines with turbocharging.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent before gluing, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and glue with cyanoacrylate. Protect your airways while sanding.
This is an add-on resin set, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
