Self-adhesive die-cut masks Eduard 1:48 P-38L Lightning of kabuki tape for clean masking of the cockpit glazing and the wheels of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking set from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the American twin-engine, twin-boom Lockheed P-38L Lightning fighter of the Second World War era in 1:48 scale. The set is made of yellow kabuki tape, which holds reliably on flat as well as curved surfaces and, once the edges are pressed down, leaves a crisp edge to the spraying.
The masks cover the frames of the cockpit glazing and the other clear parts, so that the glass stays clean and the transitions of color are crisp. Circular masks for the wheel hubs and rims are included as well, for an easy separation of the tire from the rim. The laborious cutting of tape with a knife and the risk of scratching the transparent parts are both done away with.
Carefully lift the individual masks from the backing with pointed tweezers, lay them on the part and press the edges down thoroughly (with a toothpick or a cotton bud, for instance), so that the paint does not run under the edge. Cover the larger areas of glass between the frames with a strip of ordinary tape or with liquid mask. Spray the paint in thin coats and peel the masks off while the coat is still fresh — the edges then stay at their crispest.
This is a self-adhesive masking set, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
