About product

Eduard P-39/P-400 Airacobra 1:48 (Zoom photo-etched set)

A pre-painted, self-adhesive photo-etched set from the Zoom line by Eduard. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for adding detail to the cockpit of a plastic kit of the P-39/P-400 Airacobra fighter in 1:48 scale. The photo-realistically printed parts are simply stuck on.

The real subject

The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter of the Second World War with the unusual arrangement of an engine behind the pilot and armament firing through the propeller hub. The export P-400 version differed in its armament. The type became best known in the ranks of Soviet aviation, where it proved itself at low and medium altitudes.

Usage tips

You stick the self-adhesive instrument panel and side panels straight onto the interior parts, and secure the small metal items with super glue. The set raises the realism of the cockpit area without lengthy painting.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the P-39 or P-400 in 1:48 scale
  • Anyone interested in a detailed American fighter cockpit
  • Beginners and advanced builders alike, thanks to the self-adhesive form
  • Collectors of Second World War fighters

This is an accessory and not a model. The plastic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
