Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive masking set from Eduard in 1:48 scale is intended for a plastic model of the American Curtiss P-40E Warhawk fighter. It is not a kit and not a stand-alone model but a set of precisely shaped masks of thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without the lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Curtiss P-40E is an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War with a liquid-cooled Allison V12 engine. The E version had heavier cannon armament in the wings and was among the most widespread subvariants. It was used on many fronts from the Pacific to North Africa and became famous for its toughness as well as for its typical long engine cowling with the radiator housing under the nose.
Clean and degrease the glazing of the canopy. Lift the masks off the backing, lay them on the frames of the windscreen and of the sliding part and press them into the edges. Fill any small cutouts with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in two thin coats, so that it does not run under the edge. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
