A set of photo-etched parts in 1:48 scale for the model of the American Curtiss P-40N fighter. An accessory for a kit, not a model of its own.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Curtiss P-40N was an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War and at the same time the most numerously built version of the whole P-40 line. It was powered by the liquid-cooled Allison V-1710 V12 set in the nose of the fuselage, which gave the type its characteristic long cowling. The N version came out of the effort to reduce weight and improve the climb of a machine that was better suited to low and medium altitudes. P-40s served with American and Allied units on practically every front.
It is a set of photo-etched parts in 1:48 scale, that is an accessory for a kit, not a whole model. The features are held on a thin metal fret and are separated from it before use. The extent of the set and the kit it is prepared for are given in the manufacturer's instructions; photo-etched sets are drawn for a particular kit, so it is worth comparing that before buying.
Separate the features with a sharp blade on a hard surface and never tear them out, or they will be deformed. Make the bends along the marked grooves, best with a bending tool or at least over the edge of a steel ruler. You cannot join metal with cement for polystyrene: use a small amount of super glue, and on larger areas a two-part glue, which gives you time to seat the part. Degrease the features before painting and apply a primer, otherwise the finish will not hold on the smooth metal. Parts that will be hidden inside once the model is assembled need only be finished as far as they will be visible.
The kit of the aircraft, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
