Eduard painting mask P-47D-25 Thunderbolt 1:48

A painting mask from Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but a modeling accessory, a set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks in fine masking tape. The masks follow the framing of the canopy and the circles of the wheels exactly, so that they allow quick, clean spraying without lengthy cutting out. The real subject is the American P-47D Thunderbolt fighter, specifically the D-25 version with the teardrop canopy, the so-called bubbletop. The model itself is obtained separately and is not included in the package.

The real subject

The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt is an American heavy single-seat fighter of the Second World War. The D-25 version brought a new teardrop canopy, the so-called bubbletop, which markedly improved the pilot's view to the rear. The aircraft stood out for its toughness and its strength in attacks on ground targets.

Use

• Lift the masks carefully off the sheet and stick them exactly onto the canopy glazing and the wheels of the model.
• Press the edges down carefully so that paint cannot seep under them, and then spray the color of the frames.
• Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off, which gives you sharp, clean edges.
• It is used on an assembled model with its base finish applied.

Who it is for

• For modelers building the P-47D-25 Thunderbolt in 1:48 scale.
• For anyone who wants clean masking of the glazing and the wheels without preparing masks by hand.

An accessory for modelers. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
