Eduard 1:48 P-47D-30 Thunderbolt seatbelts STEEL are photo-etched seat belts in spring steel, which replace the flat plastic parts and give the pilot's cabin a realistic look.

This is NOT an aircraft model but a fine accessory for the cockpit of the P-47D-30 Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale. The set contains seat belts etched from spring steel, which holds its shape and allows a natural sag of the straps over the seat. Etched steel looks finer and more three-dimensional than the injection-molded parts from a kit.
Break the parts carefully out of the fret, bend the individual straps to shape with a bending tool or tweezers and join them with super glue. Steel belts are painted before they are installed according to the pattern of the period, so that the buckles and the fittings stand out. The result noticeably brings the interior of the cabin to life with the canopy open.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
