P-51B/C SPACE is an Eduard set in 1:48 scale with three-dimensional color interior decals and steel photo-etch for building the North American P-51B or P-51C Mustang fighter.

A set from the SPACE range is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for finishing the cockpit. It contains three-dimensional color decals on decal paper, the instrument panel, the side consoles and other interior surfaces with relief, drawn-out dials and lettering, complemented by photo-etched steel parts including the harness. The result is a three-dimensional, color-faithful cockpit without laborious hand painting of individual instruments.
The North American P-51B and P-51C Mustang were the first versions of the Mustang with the British Merlin engine built under license by Packard. It was precisely that change of powerplant that turned the aircraft from an average low-altitude machine into a high-altitude fighter with great range, able to escort bomber formations deep over the continent. The two versions were identical in design and differed only in the plant that built them. Characteristic of both is the original fuselage spine with a framed canopy, which only the later D version replaced with a bubble canopy giving a view to the rear.
Spray the base smooth and coat it with gloss varnish so that the decal adheres and no silvered edges appear. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, and do not press the decal until it has set. Bond the steel photo-etch in spots with super glue or with photo-etch adhesive, and let the belts drape naturally over the edge of the seat. At the end, knock the interior back to matte and leave only the instrument glass glossy.
