A pallet truck 1:48 is a scenic accessory for a diorama — a low-lift pallet truck for a depot, a workshop or a ramp. It is not a model kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a stand-alone object of a scene for a diorama in 1:48 scale, not a model and not a kit. A hand-guided low-lift truck is basic equipment of every depot and ramp. In a scene it does two things at once: it fills a free area with a meaningful object and at the same time explains how work is done in it — where the load is taken and where it is stacked.
A pallet truck lifts a pallet only a few centimeters off the ground, so that it can be moved over a flat floor. It is operated by hydraulics through a long tiller, and its shape has been settled for decades, so it suits present-day as well as older postwar scenes.
The scale is the distinguishing detail. The accessory is made for 1:48; the manufacturer also makes the same subject in further scales, so for 1:35 or 1:72 choose the matching variant.
Wash the part and let it dry, cut the casting residue off and sand the surface. The forks and the tiller tend to be thin, so handle them carefully. The painting starts from a saturated working color — red, orange or blue look believable — over which comes a dark wash into the frame and around the running wheels. Concentrate the wear on the edges of the forks and on the handle, that is where a truck really rubs. Leave the wheels dark and matte, with dust at ground level. A truck standing beside a pallet makes a natural pair with which a scene can be tied together nicely.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and a pallet are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
