SPACE is a range of accessories from the Czech manufacturer Eduard combining three-dimensional (3D) color decals with photo-etched steel parts. This set is intended for detailing the cockpit of a model of the Panavia Tornado IDS combat aircraft in 1:48 scale. It contains pre-printed 3D decals of the main instrument panel and the side consoles with a raised, layered effect of the instruments, supplemented by photo-etched steel multi-part seat belts.
The three-dimensional decals have real depth and glossy instrument glass, so once applied the cockpit looks realistic without laborious painting of individual dials. The steel photo-etched belts hold their shape and can be arranged naturally over the seats.
The 3D decals are lifted with tweezers from the dampened backing paper, the sheet is not immersed in water, and they are stuck to a dry, degreased surface of the panel with white PVA glue. Paint the photo-etched belts and bend them lightly to the shape of the seat. We recommend fine tweezers and good lighting.
It is a detailing accessory, not a kit. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
