Firma49 1:48 Pig, a figure for a diorama

A small resin (3D-printed) figure of a domestic pig from the maker Firma49 in 1:48 scale. It serves to bring rural dioramas, farmyards, farms and scenes from behind the front to life. The faithfully shaped figure gives a scene life and scale.

Use and tips

  • Cut the figure from the print support and clean it up lightly with respiratory protection.
  • Before painting, wash off any print resin residue and go over it with a primer.
  • It is painted with acrylics; fine dry brushing and a light wash give it a realistic look.
  • It is bonded to the diorama base with cyanoacrylate glue.
