A set of 3D-printed, fully colored decals on decal backing paper from Quinta Studio for detailing the interior of a model of the Polikarpov Po-2VS in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory to the base model: the relief decals replace flat instrument panels and the fittings of the open cockpits and give the interior three-dimensional depth.
The Polikarpov Po-2, originally the U-2, is a Soviet biplane and one of the most heavily produced aircraft in history. The Po-2VS version was the military one, used among other things as a light night bomber and as a liaison and observation machine. It became famous with the regiments of night bomber crews in the Second World War.
Cut the element out, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper onto cockpit parts carrying a gloss clear coat; it has no adhesive layer and holds precisely on that gloss. On the open cockpits of a biplane the interior is clearly visible, so careful seating with a brush pays off, and on broken-up spots a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they attack the printed resin and ruin the element; a matte varnish will unify the surface.
A standalone detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
