A Model Maker decal set intended for F-16 models in 1:48 scale. It relates to the NATO Tiger Meet of 2014 and to Polish machines of the C and D versions, that is, single-seat and two-seat. The set is an accessory for a finished model - it holds no plastic or photo-etched parts and does not replace a kit. Which particular aircraft are covered on the sheet, and to what extent, should be checked against the illustration on the packaging.
Markings connected with the meetings of tiger units tend to be far more colorful and to cover larger areas than an ordinary service finish. The motifs often run across edges, covers and moving surfaces, so the individual pieces of the decal have to line up exactly. That is what makes such a set more demanding work than standard national insignia.
Apply the large pieces first and always with plenty of water under the film, so they can still be moved. The surface must be gloss clear varnish. On curved areas and where a motif crosses an engraved line, a stronger softener applied in two steps helps: the first right after placing it, the second only once it has partly dried. Do not interfere with a softening film; let it set, since attempts to smooth a wrinkled decal usually tear it. Once dry, wash the model and overcoat it according to the sheen you want; with colorful schemes a semi-gloss is often more suitable than a deep matte.
