A figure in 1:48 scale under the designation Priest, that is, the figure of a clergyman. 1:48 scale is common with aircraft kits and with models of equipment, so the figure suits an airfield scene, a street and a composition of its own in a display case. A human figure in a scene moreover serves as a yardstick: only beside one does the viewer realize the true size of a machine or a building.
This is an accessory for a model, not a finished decoration. Before painting, the figure is washed in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and degreased, so that the paint holds on the smooth places too. Cut the surplus material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little way from the part, and sand the remainder down lightly. For gluing use an adhesive suitable for the material of the parts; with small pieces tweezers and a dry run prove their worth.
On a figure of this scale it pays to apply a continuous primer coat first and only onto it the base shades of the clothing and the skin. Volume is given by a darker shade run into the folds and a lighter one on the raised places, and the transitions are blended with an almost dry brush. Leave the face and the hands until the end and work in good light. A matte varnish will unify the finished figure, and under it the differences in gloss between the individual paints disappear.
Paints, glue, a stand and the surrounding scene are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
