A detail set of the LööKplus range from the Czech manufacturer Eduard meant for plastic models of the Lockheed PV-1 Ventura in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but a pack of accessories that markedly raises the detail of the instrument panel, the seat belts, the glazing and the wheels. The set combines several elements at once: a color-printed resin (Brassin) instrument panel, Steelbelts steel belts, TFace painting masks for the glazing and resin landing gear wheels.
The Lockheed PV-1 Ventura was an American twin-engine patrol and bomber machine of the Second World War period, deployed above all for maritime reconnaissance and against submarines. The resin instrument panel with Space printing technology offers realistic depth and legible dials, and Steelbelts are pre-painted metal seat belts for the pilot's compartment. TFace masks make it possible to mask the canopy frames from the outer and the inner side.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Stick the masks onto the glazing before spraying and, once the paint has dried, take them off carefully. The printed panel and the belts only have to be seated; no further painting is needed.
The model and the base kit are not included. The set contains accessories that are fitted into a separately purchased kit. Glue and paints are not part of the package.
