RAF mechanic with an accumulator trolley 1:48 is a resin (3D-printed) figure set of an air force ground technician with a trolley of starting accumulators from Special Hobby.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin, 3D-printed figure and accessory set, not a model of an aircraft. It holds a finely worked figure of an RAF ground mechanic and an accumulator (starting) trolley. Both the figure and the trolley will round out an aviation diorama in 1:48 scale and suit a whole range of British fighters from roughly the middle of the 1940s to the early 1950s.
An accumulator trolley was ordinary equipment on British airfields. It was essentially a set of batteries that supplied electricity for starting aircraft engines. A set with a mechanic will therefore bring a scene beside an aircraft model naturally to life and give it both scale and action.
First wash any uncured print resin off the parts, separate them from the print supports carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate. We recommend painting both the figure and the trolley with a brush in acrylics; the uniform comes to life with gentle shading and a dry brush.
This is an accessory supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and an aircraft are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
