The markings of military aircraft change faster than their shape. Roundels, codes, squadron badges and occasional anniversary schemes all change, so the sheet included with a kit goes out of date before the model reaches the bench. A supplementary sheet makes up for that and lets you build a machine in the form in which it actually flew in a given period.
The item is described as a supplement of Royal Air Force markings for the years 2013 to 2015 and is printed for 1:144 scale. Which particular machines, units and schemes it holds is listed in the manufacturer's enclosure; you cannot read it from the name of the item, so look at the enclosed placement guide before you build. 1:144 scale is the home of collections in which a whole run of types can stand side by side without outgrowing a display case, and unified markings give them a common character.
This is a waterslide decal. The base has to be smooth, clean and preferably gloss; on a flat surface air stays trapped under the decal and the edge turns white. The elements are very small in this scale, so cut them out closely, move them with a damp brush and adjust their position while they are still free. Blot the excess water away and let them dry undisturbed. Choose the decal softener and the clear coat according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
