Thematic sheets of this type tend to be an alternative to the markings supplied in a kit and give the modeler the chance to finish a model according to his own choice. Before buying, look at the illustration of the sheet and the enclosed diagram, where the make-up of the markings is described.
A softener is a liquid that temporarily softens the carrier film of a decal, so that it conforms to engraved lines, rivets and slightly curved surfaces. Proceed calmly: first place the decal into the right position on water, draw off the excess water and only then drop the softener onto the surface. Do not touch the decal while it dries, even if it wrinkles — once dry it smooths itself out in most cases. Strong products can damage a thin film, so make the first trial on a marginal element of the sheet or on an offcut, not straight on a large national insignia in the middle of a wing.
Decals are an accessory for building a model. The kit, paints, clear coats and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
