The resin accessories from Black Dog model are shaped to a model of the light Soviet cargo truck in 1:48 scale. The point of a set like this is to fill the empty cargo bed and the area around the cab so that the truck looks like a machine in everyday service rather than a freshly finished exhibit.
Cargo trucks with a payload of one and a half tons were the backbone of Soviet rear-area transport, and soldiers nicknamed them the polutorka, meaning the one-and-a-half-tonner. The design was deliberately simple, with a wooden cargo bed and a canvas cab cover, which made repairs in the field easier.
