Eduard Avia S-199 TFace masking set (1:48)

A set of self-adhesive TFace masking templates from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the Czechoslovak Avia S-199 fighter in 1:48 scale. The templates are prepared for the S-199 kit from Eduard. It is not a model of an aircraft but an aid for spraying the frames of the cockpit glazing cleanly.

What TFace means

TFace means double-sided masking: the set contains templates for the outer as well as the inner side of the glazing, so you spray the glazing frames from inside and outside for a realistic cockpit look.

The real subject

The Avia S-199 was a postwar Czechoslovak fighter that came about by combining the airframe of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 with a Junkers Jumo engine. For its temperamental handling it earned the nickname Mezek, meaning mule, and it became famous for its service with the Israeli Air Force in 1948.
