A color photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for detailing the American Douglas SBD-3 Dauntless carrier-based dive bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft, but a set of fine photo-etched metal parts. It replaces simplified plastic - above all in the cockpit, the instrument panel and the seat belts; the color-printed areas look convincing with no painting.
The SBD Dauntless was an American carrier-based dive bomber from Douglas and a key aircraft of the US Navy at the start of the war in the Pacific. It played a decisive part in the victory at the Battle of Midway.
Separate the parts from the photo-etched fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface, shape the bends with a bending tool or a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Do not varnish over the color-printed areas. Work carefully with the small parts - the set belongs to a more advanced modeler.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a model of the aircraft. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
