The Sd.Kfz.252 was an armored vehicle for carrying ammunition to assault gun batteries. It differed from the open carriers of the same family by a fully enclosed fighting compartment with sloping armor plates, which gave the vehicle its unmistakable wedge shape. The Sd.Anh.32 trailer was towed behind it like a mobile ammunition store, so the pair formed one working whole, and for modelers a rewarding combination for a scene.
A conversion means cutting into the plastic: part of the original superstructure is cut away and replaced by a casting, so measure and mark the line of the cut in advance. Cut with a margin to spare and finish with a file so that the joint fits. Assemble the trailer separately and fit it only once both parts have been painted, otherwise it is hard to reach the towing eye. Expect this to be work for a more experienced hand and expect a little filler for leveling the joints to come in useful.
