A set of color pre-printed photo-etched seat belts in steel from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is neither a kit nor a model of an aircraft - it is a detail accessory that replaces shapeless plastic or missing belts in the cockpit. The belts come printed in color from the factory, so they need no painting; you simply cut them from the fret, shape them and glue them onto the seat. Steel moreover holds the shape of a bend better than softer brass.
The Italian Royal Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) used a number of elegant fighters in the Second World War, from machines with radial engines to the later types with powerful inline engines. Their cockpits had characteristic multi-point belts, which differed in look and layout from the British or German ones. True-to-life belts do more than anything else to give an open cockpit scale and realism.
Cut the part off with a sharp knife close to the fret and form the bends over the edge of a ruler or with a bending tool. Bond them with a tiny drop of super glue (cyanoacrylate), ideally the gel kind. Because of the size of the parts the set is meant rather for advanced modelers; tweezers and a magnifier come in handy. Protect the color printing from sanding and from aggressive thinners.
This is an accessory for the cockpit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
