Eduard masks SM.79 Sparviero 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for the model of the Italian SM.79 Sparviero bomber. It gives sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for the plastic model of the Italian Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero bomber. It is neither a kit nor a model of its own but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero is an Italian three-engined bomber and torpedo carrier of the Second World War. It was characterized by the pronounced dorsal hump above the cockpit and by its mixed wood and metal construction. It was among the most successful Italian combat aircraft and became famous above all as a torpedo carrier in the Mediterranean.
Degrease the glazing of the cockpit and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the individual frames, pressing them into the edges and filling the small cutouts with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
