A sheet of decals in 1:48 scale for the French SPAD XIII fighter of the First World War, the second part of the series.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SPAD XIII was a French single-seat fighter from the second half of the First World War. It was built in large numbers and, besides French units, it was used by the Allies as well, among them the United States Army Air Service on the Western Front. It was a biplane with a fixed undercarriage and a wooden frame covered with fabric, so color schemes and pilots' personal insignia stood out on it especially strongly.
Printed markings in 1:48 scale, meant to be applied to an assembled and painted model. This is the second part of a series on the same type; the individual parts complement each other rather than replace one another. Which particular machines the sheet covers is given in the instructions supplied by the manufacturer.
The base under the decal must be smooth and glossy; on matte paint a pale cloud appears around the film. Cut the artwork out as tightly as you can, immerse it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it starts to slide on the backing paper. Transfer it into place, blot the excess water away with a soft cloth and, once it is dry, unify the surface with a matte varnish. On ribbed fabric a decal softener helps. Before you wet the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version, because a self-adhesive film that has been soaked is ruined for good.
The aircraft model, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
