Omask wheel bay masking plugs - Spitfire Mk I / Mk II 1:48

A set of flexible foam plugs from Omask intended to close off the wheel bays of a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk I / Mk II fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit part or a paint, but an aid for painting: the shaped plugs fill the bay openings exactly, so the inside of the bays stays clean while the primer and the top coat are sprayed. The plugs are shaped for the Spitfire kit from Eduard.

Use

• Insert the foam plugs into the wheel bay openings before painting.
• They keep primer and paint out of the interior of the bays and off their walls.
• Once the paint has dried, the plugs are easy to remove without damaging the surface.
• The flexible foam adapts to the shape of the bay and can be used repeatedly.

Who it is for

For modelers who want to separate the exterior finish from the wheel bays cleanly and avoid laborious masking with tape. Suitable when building the Spitfire Mk I and Mk II versions named here.
