Self-adhesive photo-etched parts for the cockpit interior of the model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was a British fighter with the characteristic elliptical wing and the first production version of the type that became a symbol of the Battle of Britain. Its cockpit is tight and clearly laid out, so every addition in it shows at first glance.
The set brings photo-etched parts for the cockpit interior of the Spitfire Mk.I model in 1:48 scale in a self-adhesive version. Thin metal takes the place of plastic parts that are too thick by the nature of their production and gives the inside of the cockpit fine definition. The extent of the set and the placement of the individual parts are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts on a hard surface with a sharp blade, never by twisting. The self-adhesive version means that once lifted off the backing the part is simply laid in place and pressed down, so glue is usually not needed. The surface must be clean, degreased and completely dry, otherwise the adhesive layer will not hold. On a part under load or one that has been bent it pays to secure the joint with a tiny drop of super glue. Finish the cockpit and try it dry before you glue the fuselage halves together.
The set suits modelers who are starting out with photo-etched parts as well, because self-adhesive parts do not have to be glued. Tweezers, a sharp blade and a little patience are enough.
The package contains photo-etched parts only. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
