This product is not a kit but an aftermarket detail set. It consists of 3D printed, fully colored interior parts on thin decal backing paper. It equips the pilot's station of a model of the photo-reconnaissance Spitfire PR.XIX in 1:48 scale with a realistic instrument panel, side panels and other cockpit details.
The Supermarine Spitfire PR.XIX was the unarmed photo-reconnaissance version with a powerful Rolls-Royce Griffon engine and a pressurized cockpit for flying at great altitude. It was among the fastest and highest-flying Spitfires of all and served in the reconnaissance role long after the Second World War.
The individual parts are cut from the sheet, dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the backing paper straight onto the cockpit parts. They have no adhesive layer of their own: they hold on a surface previously coated with gloss (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22), and in busy places a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin.
This is an accessory for a model, not a standalone kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
