The basic set of masks for the model of the Sukhoi Su-24M in 1:48 scale, tuned to the Trumpeter kit with the manufacturer code 02835.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sukhoi Su-24M is a Soviet tactical bomber with a variable-geometry wing and a crew of two seated side by side. The M version received modernized equipment for navigation and targeting and became the most widespread form of the type. In the NATO reporting name system it carries the name Fencer-D. The canopy glazing of this machine is broken up, and masking it by hand with tape takes a great deal of time on a model.
A set of masks in 1:48 scale in the basic extent. The masks are cut to the shape of the individual areas of the model, so measuring and cutting tape directly on the part is done away with. The set is intended for the Trumpeter kit with the manufacturer code 02835; on other kits the shapes need not fit. The manufacturer's instructions state the exact extent of the basic set.
Apply the masks before spraying, and onto a clean, degreased surface. Press the edges down thoroughly with a toothpick or a blunt point, so that no paint runs underneath them. Spray in thin coats; one heavy coat runs under sooner than three light ones. Take the mask off as soon as the paint has set, best of all with tweezers and with an angled pull along the edge. If you leave it on the model until the paint has cured completely, the paint may peel away with it at the edge. Wipe off any adhesive residue with a cotton swab.
For modelers who are building the Su-24M in 1:48 scale and want crisp edges to the frames without lengthy masking with tape. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
