Eduard masks for the glazing of an Su-27K model in 1:48 scale. The basic variant for the outer side of the canopy, an accessory to a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the glazed areas of a model of the Su-27K carrier-based fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The extent of the set corresponds to the basic variant: the masks are intended for the outer side of the glazing. The version covering the inner surface as well is carried separately by the manufacturer under the designation TFace. There are no parts of the model in the package; it is an accessory to a kit.
The Su-27K is the carrier-based variant of the heavy Su-27 fighter, adapted for operating from an aircraft carrier. Against the land-based version it has folding wings, strengthened landing gear, an arrestor hook and canards. The cockpit is single-seat with a large single-piece canopy, so the frames form a fairly long unbroken line on the model, and that is the hardest kind of line to mask by hand.
Wash the glazing, degrease it and let it dry completely. Carry the masks with tweezers, settle them dry and only then press the edges down with a blunt tool. Stick the long straight frames on in one piece from one end to the other, so that they do not ripple anywhere. Apply the paint thinly and in several coats, and take the finished masks off shortly after it has flashed off.
The package holds the masks alone. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
