Quinta Studio 1:48 TBM-3 Avenger are pre-colored 3D printed interior decals on decal paper for the late version of the carrier torpedo bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the manufacturer Quinta Studio gives the interior of a model three-dimensional, pre-painted details on decal paper. The Avenger has an extensive and clearly visible inside, so the work put into the cockpit shows in the result more than on a small fighter. It is not an aircraft kit but an add-on for a model.
The Avenger was a carrier torpedo bomber with a crew of three, a dorsal gun turret and a lower station for the radio operator and bombardier. The TBM designation was carried by machines built under license outside Grumman; the TBM-3 version was one of the late batches with a more powerful engine. The interior differed between the individual versions, which is why the manufacturer lists separate sets for the early and the late configuration.
The set is cut for the Hobby Boss kit. The elements are cut out one at a time, left for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper onto the plastic, always onto a smooth, degreased surface sprayed with gloss varnish, because they have no adhesive layer of their own and hold precisely on the gloss. They settle into the relief with pressure from a brush and a drop of super glue; do not use a decal softener or setter, they will attack the printed resin and destroy the element. The original molded details are usually sanded away first. Work in sections, because the decals go into several separate compartments, and fix the finished parts with flat varnish as you go.
