A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale offers markings for the Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat carrier fighter aircraft in wartime as well as postwar service. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit you already own. The set covers machines in the service of the US Navy, the French naval aviation and Uruguay.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War, one of the most successful fighter aircraft of the US Navy in the Pacific. The F6F-5 version was the most numerous and served after the war with other countries too. It stood out for its rugged structure, its good armament and its reliability.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss clear coat, which will prevent silvering. Once they have dried, overcoat them with a matte or semi-gloss clear coat. Use a decal softener for a perfect fit to the details of the surface. Degrease the surface before applying them.
