An add-on set of tracks, not a standalone model. It contains track links matching the late form of the running gear of the German Tiger I heavy tank in the smaller 1:48 scale. The set replaces the tracks from the base kit and raises the fidelity of the running gear.
The Tiger I (Panzerkampfwagen VI) was a German heavy tank of the Second World War armed with a gun of 8.8 cm caliber. The late form used tracks different from the early versions; the tank went through a range of changes to the running gear, the hull and the turret during production.
Clean the parts up from the sprue gates and join them carefully, as they are small in 1:48 scale. It is practical to paint the tracks separately before fitting them to the running gear. A dark wash and fine dust pigments will give the links a realistic patina, and the metal surfaces can be brought out with graphite.
An add-on set of tracks. The model of the vehicle, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
