A television set and a game console in 1:48 scale are a diorama accessory for an interior scene. It is not a kit but equipment for a room.
Responsibility details are not available.
Interior dioramas live and die with small things. An empty room looks like a box, but as soon as a television set and a game console beside it are standing in it, a viewer recognizes at once what period and what setting this is. This accessory is not a model of machinery or of furniture to be assembled but a stand-alone pair of objects intended for a scene in 1:48 scale.
The accessory belongs in living interiors, in a room, a sitting corner, in a display cabinet with a cutaway of a room or in a scene with civilian figures. It also comes into its own in unconventional compositions, for example in an abandoned flat or in the back area of a workshop. Place the television against a solid wall or on a cabinet and put the console close to it; the whole reads precisely as a pair. Because these are very small objects, count on their working in a scene rather from close up and in places where the light falls.
After washing and drying, clean the parts up carefully, and work with feeling at the edges of the screen so that they stay sharp. Lay the base shade down thinly. The screen itself does most of the work: a smooth black surface looks dead, whereas a glossy black varnish with a fine light reflection drawn from one corner creates the impression of glass. Paint in the frame and the buttons with a brush with a fine point, and suggest the small indicator lights with a dot of saturated color. Add the cables from thin copper wire; it is an unobtrusive detail that gives a scene a lived-in feel. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a pin.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and a base for the diorama are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
