This is a resin accessory part, not a vehicle model. One precisely cast part represents the covered cargo bay of the American 2.5-ton cargo truck, which replaces or supplements the solution from the Tamiya 32548 kit.
The American 2.5-ton (6x6) cargo truck was the backbone of Allied logistics in the Second World War and served in later conflicts as well. The cargo bay was usually covered by a canvas tarpaulin stretched over a frame of bows, and this part brings a convincing casting of it.
Wash the mold release residue off the part, cut off the casting block and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding. The folds of the fabric come out with the dry brush technique and with fine washes; a matte varnish supports the impression of canvas.
The resin part is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the vehicle model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
