This plastic kit captures one of the best known Allied tanks of the Second World War, the American M4A1 Sherman with its characteristic cast upper hull and cast turret. The model in 1:48 scale offers optional parts, openable hatches and a rotating turret with a movable gun. The lower hull is made as a die-cast part for a realistic weight.
The M4A1 version differed from the angular welded hull of the early Shermans in its cast upper hull with rounded shapes. It carried a 75mm gun and became one of the most widespread and most typical Allied tanks of the war. The Sherman stood out for its reliability, ease of production and availability of spare parts, which made it the backbone of armored units on many fronts.
Finish the running gear before you close the hull. Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, and attach the metal lower hull in line with the instructions. A base coat and an airbrush are recommended. The cast texture of the hull can be suggested by lightly roughening the surface; washes and dust pigments suit the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
